Anna Knowles, RT(R)CV Ms. Anna Knowles began her career in healthcare as a Registered Radiologic Technologist at Albany Medical Center Hospital, a Level I trauma center. She then went on to obtain board certification in Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology, and she assisted in the operating room with trauma patients undergoing procedures such as the first homemade aortic graft, the first uterine artery embolization, as well as many stents and bypasses. Ms. Knowles furthered her experience working with catheters and interventional procedures by becoming trained in performing Urodynamics. She has worked for Laborie Medical Technologies since 2000 training healthcare professionals in these studies. As a result of this work, Ms. Knowles was recruited to join the Urogynecology Division of the Women’s Wellness Center of Albany Medical Center Hospital. There, not only did she continue educating staff and residents in performing Urodynamics, she also was an integral member of the management team. After this, Ms. Knowles was asked to take on the role of practice coordinator. In addition to duties in Urogynecology, her responsibilities included the daily operations of a 10 physician practice, managing the high risk ultrasound division, and overseeing the employees. At present, in her position with Laborie Medical Technologies, Ms. Knowles has redirected her focus to her passion for education.
